Fiery Furnaces member, Eleanor Friedberger performed an intimate set for Pitchfork yesterday, showcasing her new album in reasonably unconventional form.
The stripped-back set saw the American songstress cover each track of her second solo effort, Personal Record, in just under five minutes, playing only a few seconds of each song. Acknowledging the unusual nature of the performance, she joked ‘I’m never going to do that again’ at the close of the twelve-song medley.
Friedberger closed the set with a mellow rendition of album cut ‘Echo or Encore’. Videos of the set can be found beneath.
