Drenge unfurl their visuals for "Running Wild"
Drenge have shared the video for "Running Wild", the latest single from recent record Undertow.
The video, directed by "We Can Do What We Want" director Ed Lovelace, is inspired by the bucolic way of living presented in Gideon Koppel’s Sleep Furiously, Michelangelo Frammartino’s Le Quattro Volte and Ermanno Olmi’s The Tree of Wooden Clogs.
Speaking about the clip, Drenge said: "It was an honour to work with Ed Lovelace again on this film, and we’re very grateful to the Richardson family for letting us film in the craggy limestone fells of Throwley Farm on the Derbyshire/Shropshire border.”
The band recently released second LP Undertow. In our review, writer John Platt said: "[Drenge's] second album continues the work of the first, a yardstick for the heavy guitar sound, and is in its own way as hard hitting, visceral and effortlessly brilliant. An endorsement ringing like my ears."
