Drenge announce new EP with lead single "Before The War Begins"
Drenge return with the brooding new track "Before The War Begins" and announce their new Autonomy EP.
Brother duo Drenge find a nostalgic tone that oozes with 90s alt-rock on their new offering.
Frontman Eoin Loveless finds punky tones with his vocals before finding a sublime chorus that holds similarities in its pacing to R.E.M.
The Castleton rockers announced their forthcomin Autonomy EP after revealing their latest single "This Dance" in May.
Speaking about their new track "Before The War Begins", Eoin Loveless explained, “‘Before The War Begins’ is half a love-song and half a hate-song. Like most of our work, it's a experiment in traditional songwriting gone wrong. A long hot summer and a hosepipe ban has the narrator comparing their deteriorating and dehydrated love life to a war torn city. Along the way they consider how 62 years after the Hungarian revolution there are still places where you can see the bullet holes in the walls in Budapest and how being whisked up by an exciting stranger translates to a long term relationship.”
Taken from their Autonomy EP, Drenge have revealed new music right before their headline slots at Truck Festival and Deer Shed this weekend.
