Drake scores second fastest album of year with Nothing Was The Same

Drake’s may have been beaten to the UK top spot by Kings Of Leon over the weekend, but over in the States it brought in the second best first-week sales of the year.
Nothing Was The Same reached the U.S Billboard number one, shifting 658,000 copies in its opening week. This is only second in 2013 to Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience (968,000).
It was also the rapper’s highest-selling record to date, after 2011′s Take Care sold just a bit less (631,000) and debut Thank Me Later moved 447,000 copies.
