Toronto rapper, Drake has long been synonymous with his hometown – so much so that the local basketball team have named him an official “global ambassador”, as well as team consultant.
The Toronto Raptors are undergoing a rebranding, with Drake roped in to ease the transition and help the franchise on a global scale. There will be a new colour scheme and logo introduced for the 2016 All-Star Game, hosted in Toronto, with the R&B musician also helming a new clothing line for the club.
Drake isn’t the first rapper to get involved with the NBA, Jay Z paved the way helping launch the Brooklyn Nets, although he’s now sold his stake in the company.
