Drake delays new album release, confirms MTV VMAs performance
Two bits of news from Drake today, as the Toronto native pushes back the due date of his upcoming new album, whilst softening the disappointing blow by announcing that he’ll be performing at this weekend’s MTV Video Music Awards.
The R&B musician will join the likes of Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, (possibly) Daft Punk and more at the event in New York on Sunday, writing on Twitter:
Excited to announce I’ll be performing at the 2013 @MTV VMA’s!!! #Brooklyn #OVO #Started #NeedAKawsTrophy

Drake’s upcoming effort, Nothing Was The Same, which features the likes of Jay Z, Lil Wayne and Hudson Mohawke, will now drop 24 September rather than 17 September – according to reports.
