Doves are planning to release an album next year
Doves reunited last year to play some new live dates, but now they've confirmed a new album is in the works.
Speaking in the latest issue of Q Magazine, Doves reveal "Unofficially, we've started writing. And it's really, really good," before adding, "We've actually made a start on recording it."
Reddit user LacsiraxAriscal posted a snap of a portion of the interview, where Doves go on to confirm, "Album next year. Hit the road this year, album next year. I can't get over how quickly we've assembled a record."
The news of new material arrives only a few months after Doves said they would only make new music if "the planets are aligned and we get that right vibe". Sounds like they found that right vibe.
It's been a decade since Doves released a new album, the last being 2009's Kingdom of Rust.
