Doldrums to support Grimes, signs to Souterrain Transmissions
Yesterday, we brought you the new Doldrums track. We said it was like a “a blackhole of sound with synth bleeps, dial tones and incomprehensible wailings swirling here, there and everywhere.” Hyperbole, perhaps, but a superb number nonetheless.
So today we’re happy to announce that the track in question ‘Egypt’ will be released as a single, the producer’s first release on new label Souterrain Transmissions (home to the likes of Zola Jesus and EMA). The single will come in the form of a 12″ vinyl, dropping digitally as well on 4 June.
Also announced is that the man will be supporting Grimes on her upcoming European tour, a match seemingly made in Heaven for the two Canadians.
