Doja Cat nearly featured on Billie Eilish's "Bellyache" song
Doja Cat revealed in a recent interview that she had the opportunity to feature on Billie Eilish's 2017 song "Bellyache", but she "couldn’t think of anything to write".
Last week Rolling Stone posted a new interview with Doja Cat, and as well as speaking about her upbringing, working with Dr. Luke and planning her own cooking show, Doja Cat revealed that she had the opportunity to collaborate with Billie Eilish back in 2017.
According to the piece, Eilish reached out to Doja Cat in their SoundCloud days and asked her to appear on her don't smile at me song "Bellyache".
Doja Cat said of the song, "I remember thinking it was so cute. I loved it. I just couldn’t think of anything to write. It was one of my writer’s-block moments. … And I remember seeing that song blow up and thinking, ‘Good for her. That’s awesome.’ I don’t think the song was for me, though. It was quite hard to write to."
