Conor Oberst’s rock and electronic side venture, Desaparecidos have reformed.
Unveiling a brand new website in the process, it is unknown whether the group will record new material, but a full-length tour looks more probable.
The band originally formed back in 2001, releasing the brilliant Read Music/Speak Spanish the year after, before breaking up shortly after going on tour.
Other than Bright Eyes’ Conor Oberst, the line-up will also feature the original members of Landon Hedges (bass guitar, vocals), Matt Baum (drums), Denver Dalley – (guitar) and Ian McElroy (keyboards).
The group have already set up one live date, booked for the Maha Fest in August, with more expected to follow.
Desaparecidos reunited briefly back in 2010, playing a one-off charity concert in their hometown of Omaha.
