Death Grips cancel more live dates following Lollapalooza no-show
Following their no-show at Lollapalooza over the weekend, noise-rap duo Death Grips have announced additional live cancellations for the coming days ahead.
The band had been scheduled to play a Lolla after-party in Chicago on Friday night but, after it was confirmed that they wouldn’t be appearing, the event descended into carnage, as fans took to the stage and destroyed their equipment. Death Grips also didn’t make it to their Saturday night appearance at the festival proper, this time with fans being informed in advance.
As Pitchfork note, now the pair have scrapped headline shows in Boston (6 August) and New York (7 August), following a similar no-show at Osheaga festival on Sunday night.
No explanation for any of the cancellations has been given by the band themselves.
