David Byrne and Sigur Rós soundtrack Japanese anime for Tsunami benefit

With large parts of northern Japan still affected from the 3/11 earthquake and tsunami that hit two years back, David Byrne and Sigur Rós have come out in support for the benefit appeal, allowing their music to appear in new Japanese anime films to raise money for the cause.
Byrne has lent his 1994 co-penned track with musician Ryuichi Sakamoto for ‘Psychedelic Afternoon’, while the Icelandic post-rock group (pictured above) have their track ‘Hoppípolla’, from 2005′s Takk…, featured on the animation ‘Blossom’.
