David Bowie offered acting role on NBC thriller 'Hannibal'
Television executives at U.S network NBC are reportedly trying to persuade David Bowie to return to acting, offering him a recurring role on their thriller TV show Hannibal.
The show is based on the serial killer character invented by author Thomas Harris and Bowie has been targeted to play Hannibal’s uncle, Count Robert Lecter. The character of Count Robert is set to be introduced in the next season, airing in 2014.
Executive Producer, Bryan Fuller is said to be speaking with Bowie’s representatives, but has not expressed whether Bowie has showed any interest.
Bowie’s love of acting, however, is well known, with past appearances in Labyrinth, The Man Who Fell to Earth, The Prestige and more.
