David Bowie Estate announces Bowie 75 pop-up shops in London and New York
Ahead of what would have been David Bowie’s 75th birthday, the David Bowie Estate has announced Bowie 75, a year-long celebration of the late-icon's birthday that will begin with two experiential pop-up shops in London and New York.
The Bowie 75 pop-up shops in London and New York will be located at the earliest confirmed Ziggy Stardust sighting (Heddon Street), and one in the area where Bowie's final album Blackstar was created (Wooster Street).
Opening on 25 October and running through to late Januuary 2022, the Bowie 75 pop-up locations will offer visitors an "immersive career-spanning deep dive into the sound and vision of David Bowie", including hours of footage and unseen material, special guest events, fine art photography, limited edition merchandise and music, and the opportunity to "place themselves in iconic costumes and set pieces".

Laura Thursfield, Customer Partnership Manager at The Crown Estate, said, "We want our spaces to be engaging and exciting, bringing new concepts and brands which complement the destination and give people new reasons to come to London’s West End. This pop up is not only an opportunity to build on Heddon Street’s history, as the location of the album cover shoot for The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, but a really interactive, creative approach to retail."
