David Bowie‘s comeback record, The Next Day has sold more in its first week than any album this year so far.
Midweek figures show selling nearly 80,000 copies in the UK in just four days, with Bowie close to bagging his first UK #1 record in almost 20 years.
If the record reaches top spot, it’ll be the singer’s first number one album since 1993′s Black Tie White Noise. Meanwhile, The Next Day could also earn the singer his first ever U.S number one album too.
