Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin bring back The Hanukkah Sessions with Lisa Loeb cover
Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin have kicked off the 2021 edition of The Hanukkah Sessions, which sees them cover Lisa Loeb's "Stay (I Missed You)".
Last year Grohl and Kurstin covered eight songs by eight different Jewish artists for each night of Hanukkah, and last night (28 November) they kicked off night one with their cover of Lisa Loeb's "Stay (I Missed You)".
Grohl even recreates Loeb's dress and glasses combination in the accompanying video, but only sings softly for small parts of each verse, before screaming the rest of the lyrics.
The 2020 edition of Grohl and Kurstin's The Hanukkah Sessions saw them cover songs by The Velvet Underground, Bob Dylan, Drake, Peaches, Elastica and more.
Last month Grohl released his first book The Storyteller.
