Daughters of Reykjavík release new Eurovision single "Turn This Around"
Daughters of Reykjavík have shared their new single "Turn This Around", a track that they hope to take to this year's Eurovision if they win Iceland's Söngvakeppnin.
"Turn This Around" is the Icelandic collective's first outing since sharing their cover of Selma Björnsdóttir's "All Out Of Luck" earlier this month. Björnsdóttir's original was Iceland's 1999 Eurovision entry, and achieved the country's highest position ever at second place.
Daughters of Reykjavík hope to take "Turn This Around" to this year's Eurovision, and are currently competing in Iceland's Söngvakeppnin, which will decide the country's 2022 Eurovision entry.
The group said of the new release, ""Turn This Around" is a song that represents the energy Daughters of Reykjavík possess and give. It is a song made to inspire people to move, to change, to take action and to love themselves and others. It represents the space we can take up if we so choose as well as the things we can give."
Back in 2020 Daughters of Reykjavík released their latest album Soft Spot.
Last year's Eurovision saw Iceland's Daði Freyr and Gagnamagnið place fourth, while Italy's Måneskin won.
