Damon Albarn will “definitely” record another Gorillaz album, collaboration with Noel Gallagher a “distinct possibility”
Damon Albarn is set to release his first solo LP later this month and whilst most fans are longing for a new Blur record, it seems that the singer has other future ventures on his mind.
Speaking to NME, Albarn went on record to say that a new Gorillaz album will “definitely” happen and that he could “put a Gorillaz record out next week; I’ve got enough stuff I haven’t finished”.
The Britpop musician also added that he could collaborate with former Oasis rival Noel Gallagher, after teaming up live last year. “I still see Noel from time to time. We text a bit,” he told the magazine. “I can imagine that being a very distinct possibility at some point in the future… the principle of us making music together is something… you know, it would be fair to say, we have discussed it at least once”.
