Damon Albarn preparing new Gorillaz and The Good, The Bad & The Queen albums
Jack of all trades Damon Albarn has revealed that he's in the early stages of preparing two new albums for his Gorillaz and The Good, The Bad & The Queen projects.
He's only recently released Everyday Robots, his debut solo affair, and this appears to have galvanised his mindset to put pen to paper on a further brace of LPs. Apparently, the next The Good, The Bad & The Queen record is written, and he expects the next Gorillaz full-length to be out in 2016 - this is pretty exciting given that in 2011 they seemed to be all but over.
He's coyer in regards to Blur, however:
"I would imagine there's some kind of future... but at the moment there's no time for the future – only the present. Who knows? I'm reluctant to say anything, because if I do, it just gets taken out of context and then I'm accused of being a wind-up."
