After unfounded rumours that they’d play this year’s MTA VMAs, it’s now been confirmed that Daft Punk will make their first televised performance since 2008 at next year’s Grammy Awards.
The French electronic pair last performed at the ’08 edition of the event, with Rolling Stone breaking the news. It’s also been confirmed that Kendrick Lamar will perform too.
Daft Punk are up for four awards at the ceremony: “Album of the Year” and “Best Dance/Electronica Album” for Random Access Memories and “Record of the Year” and “Best Pop Duo/Group performance” lead single “Get Lucky”.
The Grammy Awards will take place on 26 January.
