Daft Punk denied permission to perform at Native American national park
Daft Punk’s alleged plans to tour this summer may have inadvertently been revealed, as reports cite a failed proposal to play a sacred park in Wyoming.
The Chicago Tribune report that the French electronic duo attempted to gain permission to play near the holy Devil’s Tower, wanting to decorate the rock structure with a lazer light show.
This was swiftly rejected by the National Park Service, with a spokesman stating that any show would be “considered sacrilegious” by Native American tribes. The same representative also said that representatives of the band were “scouting locations across the world for a concert or multiple concerts to be held around the summer”.
UPDATE: Daft Punk’s representative have denied that they attempted to play the aforementioned show.
