Daft Punk break pre-order sales record of any dance album
The hype machine for Daft Punk’s new album Random Access Memories has been nothing short of phenomenal, but how has that converted to pre-sales? Well, pretty impressively it seems, as the band have just broken the pre-order record for a dance album over at Amazon.
The online retaillers have confirmed that the French duo’s upcoming release has trebled the pre-sale figures of previous record-holders, Massive Attack who held the accolade for 2010 album Heligoland.
Daft Punk still have six days left to add to their record, which will maybe last even longer than the three years Massive Attack achieved the feat for.
