Daði Freyr joins Iceland Airwaves 2020 lineup
Iceland Airwaves is still planning to go ahead this year, and today the festival has announced that 2020 Eurovision contestant Daði Freyr has joined the 2020 lineup.
Daði Freyr was one of the favourites to win this year's Eurovision Song Contest, but then it was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Today (16 June), Iceland Airwaves have revealed that the "Think About Things" singer has joined the 2020 lineup, and will play the festival alongside the previously announced Metronomy, Courtney Barnett, Daughters of Reykjavík, Squid, The Murder Capital, Black Pumas, Dorian Electra, and more.
Iceland is BACK IN BUSINESS and we are happy to announce that Daði Freyr has joined the lineup! With his European Tour next to sold out, where better to see him than at Iceland Airwaves?

Yesterday (15 June), Iceland opened for business following the coronavirus pandemic. Iceland Airwaves MD Will Larnach-Jones says, "Iceland has been carefully monitoring the global covid-19 situation closely, both at home and aboard, and the cases in Iceland are now low enough to safely reinstate the return of international visitors to their shores. The festival is set to deliver a great experience in a safe environment, and we are feeling very optimistic for an amazing end of year. For Daði Freyr to return for an exclusive show at Airwaves is certainly adding to the excitement."
