DaBaby apologises for homophobic comments after being dropped from multiple festivals
DaBaby has uploaded an apology via Instagram after being dropped from multiple festival line-ups due to homophobic comments made during his Rolling Loud Miami performance.
After being dropped by Lollapalooza, Governors Ball and Day N Vegas over the past few days, DaBaby has uploaded a written apology to the LGBTQ+ community.
The apology comes after DaBaby said some homophobic comments while addressing the crowd during his Rolling Loud Miami performance, telling attendees without HIV or AIDS to "put your cellphone light up."
He attempted to apologise (which only made it worse) for his comments on socials last month, and last night (2 August) he finally uploaded a statement which sees him apologise for "the hurtful and triggering comments" he made at Rolling Loud.
As well as thanking those who "reached out to me privately to offer wisdom, education, and resources", DaBaby wrote, "I apologise for my misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS and I know education on this is important."
