Having released their sell-out 7” ‘Go Outside’ on Forest Family Records earlier this year, the New York duo Cults have now signed a worldwide deal with In The Name Of / Columbia Records in the US and UK.
Brian Oblivion and Madeline Follin’s own brand of sixties revivalist pop is not dissimilar to contemporaries Summer Camp or Twin Sister. And with a similar buzz gently building around them, 2011 should be pretty exciting for the couple as they ready their debut album, with Shane Stoneback (Vampire Weekend, M.I.A) on board as engineer, for release in the spring.
