Courtney Barnett shares a Jack White-produced cover of The Birthday Party/Boys Next Door's "Shivers"
Courtney Barnett has shared a cover of "Shivers", originally by Boys Next Door, with production from Jack White.
Boys Next Door are, of course, not a real band (at least in this instance), but rather an alias used by The Birthday Party for "Shivers", the final track on 1979 debut LP Door, Door. It was written by a teenage Rowland S Howard.
Barnett's cover is part of the Third Man Records Blue Series (in conjunction with Milk! Records and Remote Control). It acts as the B-side for "Boxing Day Blues Revisited", which is an extension of Barnett's "Boxing Day Blues" from recent LP Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit.
