Courtney Barnett announces deluxe version of Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit
Courtney Barnett has revealed a deluxe version of debut album Sometimes I Sit and think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, due for release next month.
The special edition includes live versions of tracks such as "History Eraser" and single "Avant Gardener", an A4 (or A2) poster and four polaroid pictures taken by Barnett herself, whilst there will be a special edition yellow vinyl for LP collectors.
Also, as part of Jack White’s Third Man Records’ Blue Series where artists passing through Nashville are invited to record a couple of tracks which are then pressed onto vinyl and put up on iTunes as soon as possible, the Australian crooner has recorded "Boxing Day Blues Revisited" and a cover of Rowland S Howard’s (Boys Next Door/The Birthday Party) "Shivers", which you can hear below. Both are due for release 16 October.
To cap off a wonderful year, Barnett will be performing a string of shows in the U.K., including a sold out show at London’s Old Kentish Town Forum.
Check out the "Shivers" cover below, and her upcoming U.K. shows after.
