Comedian Munya Chawawa's Unknown P alter-ego signs to Atlantic Records
Comedian Munya Chawawa has announced that his posh drill alter-ego Unknown P has signed to Atlantic Records.
Munya Chawawa has kept spirits high during the pandemic with his take on hot topics like the Sainsbury's Christmas advert and recreating Ne-Yo classics with lyrics about the coronavirus pandemic.
He's also been making his way into the UK rap scene with his 'posh drill' alias Unknown P, who has released a number of spoof tracks including his "Ain't It Different" parody, his Stormzy and Chip beef response "Diss & Chips", his "Burning Remix" and more.
Yesterday (22 November) Chawawa announced some exciting news for his Unknown P alter-ego via Twitter. Chawawa wrote, "I've signed to Atlantic Records! Two years of sketches, one Fire in the Booth and a few middle class bars later and here we are!"
He continued, "Thank you for supporting my parodies & sharing my sketches, I'm so grateful and deffo cracking open a Shloer tonight."
