It seems fitting that the world’s biggest band should appear on the soundtrack of one of the world’s biggest running film franchises. While you can’t hear it yet, Coldplay will be releasing a new song “Atlas” 26 August, recorded for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
While their music has shown up in its fair share of movies and TV shows, “Atlas” will be Coldplay’s first original soundtrack offering.
The song will precede the film, which hits theaters 22 November.
Coldplay otherwise, however, seems to be taking it easy in every other way, as the Huffington Post previously reported that they won’t be touring for a few years still.
