Cloud Nothings, Efterklang & more contribute to Polyvinyl singles series

Polyvinyl Records have revealed details of a new singles series, aptly called The Polyvinyl 4 Track Singles Series.

Among the artists taking part are Cloud Nothings, Efterklang, Porcelain Raft, Mikal Cronin, John Vanderslice, plus a handful of their other labelmates.

A press release explains a little more on the project: “We contacted 12 artists that we’re huge fans of and bought a Tascam 4 track… We then mailed the 4 track to artist #1 and asked them to record two songs on it (anything they wanted). Then, that artist would ship it to the next artist and so on, and so forth. When it was all said and done, the 4 track had travelled over 20,000 miles!”

Selected recordings will now be released as limited-edition 7″ singles. Subscriptions is available here, with the full list of contributing artists below.
