Chvrches record track in American motel room
You’d assume the life of a touring band was the utmost glamorous, but often it’s far from that. One of the tracks to feature on Chvrches’ debut album even had to be rush-recorded in a motel room in El Paso, Texas in the U.S.
“It was like a 115°F outside so we had to turn the air conditioning off so we could actually record the microphones, and it just got unbelievably hot,” the band’s Iain Cook recently told BBC Newsbeat.
“Maybe that was helpful though, to enhance our performance,” singer Lauren Mayberry added of the track ‘By The Throat’.
The song in question will be included on the Glasgow electro-poppers’ first full-length, Bones Of What You Believe, due in September.
