Child of the Parish share The Magician's remix of "Forever's Not Enough"
Child of the Parish have released a new remix of their "Forever's Not Enough" track by The Magician.
"Forever's Not Enough" was released by Child of the Parish last month as the seconnd ouuting from a new EP that is due to feature their September single "Midas Touch", and today (26 November) they've unveiled a remix of their latest track by The Magician, marking the first official remix of a Child of the Parish song.
The duo's Ben Vella says, "We are very excited to announce the first official remix of a Child of the Parish track, The Magician’s remix of "Forever’s Not Enough". We’ve been a fan of his since he first started putting tunes out on Kitsuné and a lot of you probably know his massive remix of Lykke Li’s "I Follow Rivers". He’s brought an 80’s disco vibe to ‘Forever's Not Enough’ which we’re really loving, it’s really exciting to finally hear another artist’s take on one of our tunes as we’re such big remix fans in general. Enjoy!"
Speakinng about the remix, The Magician adds, "The original version instantly made me think of Empire of The Sun or Tame Impala of which I’m a huge fan! The idea I had from the start was to rearrange it with big synth chords and a rock/techno/disco style beat from the early ‘00s. I’m picturing a whole stadium crowd getting their lighters out when the big break hits."
