Charli XCX signs with production team Stargate, reportedly writing with Britney Spears
Noir-pop electro songstress, Charli XCX is hardly shy of her pop pleasures and having recently penned a number one hit for Icona Pop, it seems only logical that she’s set to team up with production uber-team Stargate.
Stargate are the Norwegian songwriter pair responsible for hits by Katy Perry, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Atomic Kitten, S Club 7 and more. It’s their Stellar Songs venture with Sony that Charli has recently signed to.
CMU report that the singer, who recently released her debut album True Romance, is “potentially” lining up work with one Britney Spears. Whether this involves songwriting or some kind of on-record collaboration is not known.
Tim Blacksmith of Stellar Songs said of the news: “All of us at Stellar Songs are immensely happy and proud to be associated with the great Charli XCX”.
