Cat Power announces new album and reveals trailer
Multi-talented musician Cat Power has revealed details for her new album Wanderer with an accompanying trailer.
Chan Marshall, aka Cat Power, hasn't released an album since 2012's Sun.
Today she returns with news of her 10th studio album Wanderer, which will span 11 tracks.
She revealed the album trailer along with the new album news.
Marshall produced the whole album herself, and welcomes Lana Del Rey as a guest for one of the tracks.
Having spent the last few years working on it, Cat Power will release her long-awaited Wanderer for the first time on Domino.
Speaking about her new album, Marshall explains, "The course my life has taken in this journey - going from town to town, with my guitar, telling my tale; with reverence to the people who did this generations before me. Folk singers, blues singers, and everything in between. They were all wanderers, and I am lucky to be among them.”
Cat Power will also be touring with Wanderer from September, including a date in London on 23 October at Camden's Roundhouse. Tickets go on sale 20 July at 10am local time from her site.
