BTS have revealed the reason they won't swap to singing in English
BTS have revealed the reason behind them not wanting to sing in English.
Aside from last year's Steve Aoki collaboration "Waste It On Me", South Korea's BTS have stuck to their native language, and are smashing it nonetheless.
They've managed to sell out two shows at Wembley Stadium, and, aside from quick lines here or there in English, they don't plan to change their singing language anytime soon.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the group's RM, who is the group's only member fluent in English, says, "we don’t want to change our identity or our genuineness to get the number one. Like if we sing suddenly in full English, and change all these other things, then that’s not BTS. We’ll do everything, we’ll try. But if we couldn’t get number one or number five, that’s okay."
Just yesterday the Korean superstars released the first taster of their forthcoming Map Of The Soul : Persona record, by revealing the RM-led "Intro: Persona" as the album trailer.
In just four days the group managed to smash their own pre-order record, having gained over two million pre-orders for Map Of The Soul : Persona, according to Forbes.
The tracklist for the new album is yet to be announced. Entertainment Weekly note that the final list is yet to be finalised.
