Bryan Ferry ropes in some old chums for new solo album
Bryan Ferry has announced plans to release a brand new solo album, via Virgin Records, on 25th October.
To be called Olympia, it’ll be the first album to reunite Bryan Ferry with Phil Manzanera, Andy Mackay and Brian Eno since Roxy Music’s seminal album For Your Pleasure in 1973.
It also features contributions from Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, Nile Rogers from Chic, ex Stone Roses bassist Mani, and Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The album features eight new songs, plus covers of Tim Buckley’s ‘Song To the Siren’, and Traffic’s ‘No Face, No Name, No Number’.
