The sheet of paper which Bruce Springsteen used to first jot down his lyrics for the now-classic “Born To Run” is set to head to auction.
The manuscript, dating back to 1974, will go on sale at Sotheby’s auction house in New York come 5 December and is expected to fetch between $70,000 – $100,000. The lyrics present in the first draft vary considerably from the final song, with notes even included in the margins.
