Britney Spears says decision to not release new music is her way of saying "F*ck You"
Britney Spears has shared a lengthy post on socials discussing her decision not to release new music, revealing that it's her way of saying "Fuck You" to those that took advantage of her and her talent over the past 13 years.
Yesterday (27 December) on Instagram, Spears shared a new post with a lengthy note about why she hasn't released new music since 2016's Glory album.
Reflecting on her conservatorship, which was terminated last month, Spears wrote that she chose "the fake denial "everything's totally fine" approach because I didn't want to cause conflict."
"I asked for 13 years to perform new songs and remixes of my old songs ... and every time I asked I was told "No..."," Spears continued. "It was a set up to make me fail yet I knew exactly what I wanted my fans to see."
Spears wrote, "So much wasted time to only embarrass and humiliate me and I guess it seems odd to most now why I don't even do my music anymore... that's just the surface issues. People have no idea the awful things that were done to me personally."
She also wrote how she's "scared of people and the business" and how "not doing my music anymore is my way of saying "Fuck You" in a sense when it only actually benefits my family by ignoring my real work."
