Boy Better Know's Solo 45 charged with 29 counts of rape
Grime artist Solo 45, real name Andy Anokye, has been charged with 29 counts of rape.
Bristol-based Anokye - a member of Boy Better Know alongside the likes of Skepta and JME - originally appeared in court in July charged with two counts of rape, one of false imprisonment, and another of actual bodily harm. He plead not guilty to the charges.
After more witnesses came forward Anokye has been charged with 27 further counts of rape. His trial was due to start today but has been adjourned until 16 April 2018.
"Detectives are still keen to speak to anyone who may be able to offer information which may assist an on-going investigation concerning Mr. Anokye," say the Avon and Somerset Police. "Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Ryan Matthews in investigations on 101 quoting reference 5217082649."
