Bon Iver to debut new album this Friday
The album, supposedly titled 22 Days, will debut on Friday through a live performance by the band at the Eaux Claires festival in Wisconsin.
The album's title is yet to be confirmed but taking into account multiple hints from Bon Iver's own instagram account to a newly unveiled mural in Brooklyn, 22 Days is the most likely name.
We picked up on the clues last month when Bon Iver released a teaser video of new music lasting 22 seconds, with "#22days" captioned. Bon Iver's Justin Vernon already stamped down on rumours that the band were winding down, confirming that he had been working on new music and he also said that his show at Eaux Claires will feature new sounds.
Bon Iver's last album was a self-titled 2011 release and was critically acclaimed.
The festival where the debut is scheduled to happen has been put up by Vernon and Aaron Dessner of The National aiming to encourage performing artists to do something "special" there. Speaking to VolumeOne about the festival Vernon said: "We want to view it as a platform to think outside the box a little bit.”
Eaux Claires takes place this weekend on 12 and 13 August at Foster Farm in Vernon's hometown, Eau Claire.
