Bon Iver picks 'Holocene' as next single
Such is the strength of Bon Iver‘s recent self-titled release that he and his bosses at 4AD could have all sat around a board-room table and had a nice ol’ in-office lottery sweepstake to determine their next move in music marketing.
But instead of Vernon and the label executives betting on the World Cup winner or who’s going to fall first in the Grand National, they could have just so easily chosen the musician’s next single via the exact same method.
I mean, all of the album’s tracks could be deemed sole release worthy. Where does one begin to judge between the likes of superb opener ‘Perth’ and the Crocodile Dundee-esque ‘Beth/Rest’?
Somehow they managed to pick one and that one just so happens to be third track ‘Holocene’, due for release on 5 September. You can watch the Adele-acclaimed troubadour perform the single live below:

Bon Iver tours the UK during Autumn on the following dates. Sadly, all shows are already completely sold-out. So you may have to resort to stealing or sneaking in.
