Bombay Bicycle Club celebrate World Turtle Day with cover of Grateful Dead's "Terrapin Station"
To mark World Turtle Day yesterday (23 May), Bombay Bicycle Club shared a cover of Grateful Dead's "Terrapin Station", which features Flyte.
Grateful Dead's 16-and-a-half-minute "Terrapin Station" track featured on their ninth album of the same name, and to celebrate World Turtle Day yesterday (23 May), Bombay Bicycle Club recruited Flyte to help them cover the song.
Of the cover, the band say, "Happy World Turtle Day to everyone. As our most hardcore fans know, we go way back with the turtles starting with our Tour for Lulu. This year we decided that quietly celebrating this day just the four of us wasn’t enough. So here is our cover of The Grateful Dead’s epic "Terrapin Station" featuring some beautiful vocals from our friends in Flyte. Make sure to check out the video which will take you on a wonderful journey as you listen to all 16 minutes of the song. #worldturtleday."
Their cover lands hot on the heels of the announcement of Jack Steadman's collaborative album with Barney Artist as Mr Jukes, titled The Locket.
