Blur drummer Dave Rowntree will host a weekly radio show on XFM, starting with an inaugural outing tonight (9 January).
The show will air on the UK station every Thursday from 9pm to 10pm.
“I’m incredibly excited at the prospect of having my own show on Xfm,” he said of the news. “The station is known for its quality music and comedy, and for gambling its future on untried, untrusted and usually unwashed presenters. I’m genuinely humbled to be part of that tradition.”
Blur are rumoured to be working on a new record, whilst Damon Albarn is prepping a solo album for release later this year.
