Black Country, New Road, Penelope Isles and more added to virtual SXSW 2021 lineup
SXSW has announced a wave of new names playing this year's virtual festival, including Black Country, New Road, Penelope Isles and more.
Black Country, New Road and Penelope Isles will perform at the online edition of SXSW next month alongside new additions 404 Guild, Aoife Nessa Frances, Babeheaven, Baby Queen, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, Chubby and the Gang, Drug Store Romeos, Iceage, IDER, Just Mustard, Khalia, Magdalena Bay, Matilda Mann, Nadia Reid, No Joy, porij, Scrounge, Sophie Hutchings and more.
The new names announced today (23 February) join the previously announced artists including Squid, Connie Constance, Braids, Anna B Savage, Alien Tango, Rosehip Teahouse, Do Nothing, Ego Ella May, Say Sue Me, Sorry, Sinead O'Brien, Holy Fuck, Walt Disco, Wavy The Creator, Katy J Pearson and more.

Last year's SXSW was one of the first major events to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, and in October last year organisers confirmed the 2021 edition of the festival would be moving online.
