Last month Jeff Johns, known as Bristol live music legend Big Jeff, was "seriously injured" in a fire at his Bristol home and was in a "specialist burns unit in Swansea in a stable condition."

After his family and art manager updated his socials with a statement revealing that he was "stable in intensive care, but still under heavy sedation and unconscious whilst a series of procedures and skin grafts are beginning," another update was shared last week revealing that he's "made some good progress with his recovery over the weekend." His family and art manager also stated he's "now off the ventilator and is conscious."

Just a couple of days after the latest update, Big Jeff returned to his own Twitter for the first time since 6 June, writing, "Hello everybody, I love you all. Thank you for the get well wishes! See you soon Jeff."

Self Esteem, The Big Moon, Efterklang, Emmy The Great, BC Camplight, Field Music, Max Tundra, Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, and more responded, sharing their well wishes.

Last year the live music superfan launched his first artwork exhibition titled Welcome To My World.
