Beyonce takes firm stance against fan filming show at her gig
It started with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, then Savages, and even Eleanor Friedberger, now Beyonce has voiced her opposition against the fan-filming of concerts after she chastised a gig-goer at her show in Atlanta earlier this week.
The popstar spoke directly to one fan who she approached while performing ‘Irreplaceable’, quoted as saying “You can’t even sing because you’re too busy taping. I’m right in your face baby.”
She continued: “You gotta seize this moment. Put that damn camera down!”
Back in April, Yeah Yeah Yeahs urged fans not to film their gigs “as a courtesy to the person behind”. Post-punk band Savages also took this stance, posting a similar poster before their gigs.
Ironically, the whole Beyonce saga was recorded on someone else’s camera phone and uploaded online for your viewing pleasure.
