Beyoncé album leaker sued $233,000

Sony Music are suing a Swedish music fan $233,000 for leaking Beyoncé’s latest album, 4.

The BitTorrent user, who allegedly shared the LP on The Pirate Bay on 8 June 2011, is subject of a lawsuit which converts to roughly £154,060.

The album was scheduled to be released later that month (24 June), before it surfaced online and was widely spread.

TorrentFreak reports that the 47 year old works in the music industry.
