Ben Howard and Bombay Bicycle Club to play debut Citadel Festival
A new festival called Citadel is set to begin in East London this July, with Ben Howard and Bombay Bicycle Club as the inaugural headliners.
It's spearheaded by the award-winning Wilderness Festival and Superfly, co-creators of US-based Bonnaroo and Outside Lands.
The full lineup is set to be unveiled soon, co-curated by Communion and Soundcrash. There will also be "gastronomic leaders" crafting a "table dining experience", and Secret Productions' Sunday Papers Live team will host "a tent of captivating literary talks, spoken word and debates".
Ben Howard said of the event:
“We're so excited about this one - great to have Bombay Bicycle Club along-side us and we're booking some of our personal favourites to join us on the bill. Going to be a special day.”
Jamie MacColl, lead guitarist of Bombay Bicycle Club, added:
“We’re really looking forward to hosting a day of brilliant music (and hopefully sunshine!) with our friend Ben Howard.”
