Beastie Boys' Ad-Rock to star beside Ben Stiller in new Noah Baumbach movie
After a long break, Beastie Boys member Adam ‘Ad-Rock’ Horovitz may be returning to the silver screen and sharing it with Hollywood bigwig Ben Stiller in a new Noah Baumbach film.
In the 1980s and 1990s, Horovitz had a small acting career, taking a lead role in 1989′s Lost Angels and 1992′s road movie Roadside Prophets, but for the past two decades most of his acting duties have been directly tied to his musical career as a Beastie Boy.
However, according to The Wrap, Ad-Rock may now be returning to the big screen in While We’re Young, an upcoming film written and directed by Noah Baumbach. The film is set to star Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts, Amanda Seyfried, and “Girls” star Adam Driver. In the film, Stiller and Watts play a married couple who start an unlikely friendship with a young hipster couple (Driver and Seyfried). If his schedule allows him to sign on, Ad-Rock would play Stiller and Watts’ married friend.
Production on the film will begin in Autumn.
