The BBC is set to introduce its very own awards ceremony, with the BBC Music Awards launching later this year.
Bringing together BBC One, Radio 1, Radio 2 and The One Show (sadly not BBC 6 Music though), the BRIT Awards-rivaling event will take place on 11 December at London’s Earls Court. Accolades up for grabs on the night will include British Artist of the Year, International Artist of the Year and Song of the Year, with live performances coming from upcoming BBC Introducing artists.
This year’s outing will be hosted by presenters Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton. The Beeb have called it “the biggest musical event on the BBC since Glastonbury”.
